Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program

Suitable for ages 8 and up

Initial Consultation/Assessment

The initial consultation is a great opportunity for the clients to meet with the facilitator. It is done in the office in a relaxed atmosphere. The purpose of the assessment is to determine if the Davis program is suitable for the client's learning style, goals, and motivation.

The Program

This positive, creative-based 30-hour program is designed for the learning style of the visual-spatial person.

It is a fun intensive 5 day program is conducted one on one with the Client and the licensed Facilitator. There are frequent breaks during the day, which typically runs from 9am to 4pm, with an hour break for lunch.

Each program is tailored to each client's personal goals and needs.

Major areas addressed during this week are Davis Orientation Counseling™, Davis Symbol Mastery™ and Steps to Easier Reading.

Support Training

On the final afternoon Support Training is provided to individuals that will assist the client in their ongoing follow up work. Covered in this training are: reading exercises, Koosh® ball exercises, Davis Symbol Mastery, follow-up schedule and post program recommendations.

Client receives a kit for home to complete follow-up.

After the Program

The student will leave the program with all of the tools, understanding, and materials necessary to implement the program into their every day lives and achieve positive results. Davis Symbol Mastery of 219 “trigger words” (those words that do not have a visual image) is an essential part of the correction of Dyslexia.

Three, 1 hour, return follow up visits are available, if necessary and unlimited phone/e-mail support consultations are included.

Davis Math Mastery™ Program

The Davis Math Mastery provides tools to correct problems learning math. These learning problems are sometimes called dyscalculia and can often accompany dyslexia and ADD symptoms.

When the foundation concepts for understanding all mathematics are mastered, learning math becomes easy.

Davis™ Attention Mastery Program for ADD/ADHD

The Davis Attention Mastery Program addresses issues of deficits in attention, and behavioural difficulties. Common symptoms and resulting behaviours are addressed through the unique Davis™ Concept Mastery techniques.

Davis™ Reading Program for Young Learners

The Davis Reading Program for Young Learners is designed for "at risk" children ages 5-7 years old. This parent-coached program prepares children with the essential tools to learn to focus and create solid foundations for learning language. Because parents are involved, they learn how best to help their children learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, and spelling.
